Rated 2 out of 5 by from Made things worse I used this for my son' s pink eye and it made everything much worse, I ended up going to ER

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Made things worse I though using this product will help heal my eyes faster, since I started using it my eyes is itchier. The pink eye just got worse for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works but costs a fortune My left eye, on the outside corner, had been painful and sore for about 3 days and began to have minor swelling/redness. I bought these eye/ear drops as a preventative measure to (hopefully) stop whatever the issue might have been. By the next day I had relief. The swelling and and general soreness was gone. I continued using them and found my issue left. Overall I'd say the product worked for me but at $21 (tax included) for such a small amount and small bottle, I am disappointed. The cost is a little steep for the amount of product received.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ear Infection Your product I’ve used in the past for burns and eyes and thought nothing of it to try in my ear. I started today and I’m on the second application... it feels like there is a permanent plug in my ear preventing me from hearing properly. The drops go in and I can feel it trickle down to where it needs to go but nothing happens ...or has happened at all. I’m going to do the 4 applications for today and see what happens.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would never purchase again My Doctor’s office was closed and one of my eyes became irritated and red. I had no discharge, and purchased this from the local drug store. It hurt my eyes to use, and I put it in both as a preventative measure. To my surprise, the redness and irritation drastically worsened, and the eye with no symptoms before using the drops became red and irritated also. I don’t mind paying for a product if it works. At the $20 price point to make my feel worse, it’s simply not worth the additional aggravation. Never, never again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Making things worse To start, I had a bit of discharge, some cloudy vision and dry eyes. I was suggested this product which was REALLY expensive, but I figured it would work as it was the only eye drops available over-the-counter with Antibiotics. The first application stung ALOT! The applications afterwards didn’t hurt as much, but I am noticing the more I use it, the more discharge I have. The discharge is extremely painful when moving around in my eyes. The second, third and forth application of the day are followed by me holding my eyes shut in pain for almost an hour. During this hour and two afterwards I am removing painful discharge. Is this the infection being removed? If so, why is there more and more and more as the days go by? Three or four hours after I’ve taken the drops, the pain is almost gone, same as first thing in the morning after washing my eyes open. I’ve been using this product seven days now and I honestly believe these drops have irritated my eyes and made the situation far worse. I wanted to see the week through for the “antibiotics to work”, but at this point, I highly doubt they are. I hope this review helps someone debating this product, I wished I had read some reviews first.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product does not work Years ago this product worked great. Now it is way to overpriced and does not work. Not sure if you changed the product but a huge waste of money. I do not recommend

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened to the old product? I used to use polysporin on my kids 20 years ago and it worked right away. The last time I used it was a long time ago as well. This time I had the same results as everyone else, severe burning, redness and swelling. This used to be a parents best friend! Change your product back polysporin!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product I’ve used this twice for pink eye and it resolved the infection within a week to two. Dr recommended this product. My eye was sore, red and discharge, crust the usually symptoms. You have to bath your eye too along with using the drops. Yes it stung..your eye is infected, it takes time for the antibiotic to work. But I guess some people are more sensitive to these drops , In which case see your doctor for another kind..nothing wrong with these drops,,it’s my go too when I have an eye infection every time. .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stings and made things worse! Like many other reviews, these definitely did seem to make my condition worse. It stung from the initial application, and to my surprise both my eyes become much more red than before applying the drops. My eyes remained dry and red for the next few hours until I finally had enough and washed them out with a saline rinse. Please advise how I can go about getting a refund as I feel I just threw away $20.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very painful Experiencing the same pain and discomfort as many others. I think it's causing more discharge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stings but it works! I have to say I do agree with most of the reviews here this product does sting..for a nice while after putting the drops in ,but it works!!! I don't care about the sting as long as it works.. it saved me a trip to the doctor. My eyes went from being runny, lots of discharge, itchy, painful , and swollen to 80% better after 4 doses! its a great product!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! This product is absolutely terrible!! Almost minutes after using it my eye became extremely red and puffy and bubbled out! Almost like a blister but on my eyeball! After about two hours of this intense pain it finally started to clear up. The next day I was hesitant to use it again. But I did, and once again immediately after the second drop hit my eye the pain started!! Not only is this product expensive, but it aggravated my eye causing me more pain then I was previously in! I want my money back. I never ever would recommend this to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The eye drops do work very well, once you can access them. The shrink wrapping on the bottle is just evil. After ten minutes of patient tinkering with both scissors and a sharp knife, I still haven't succeeded in removing all of the shrink wrapping, but I have stabbed myself in the finger, drawing blood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked for me, didn't sting much. 43 year old male. Picked up double pink eye with gunk from my toddler. These drops killed it. Maybe stung a little, but I've had much worse at my opthalmologist. It's medicine, people! Stop being such babies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and COnvenient! My almost 2-year-old daughter started showing signs of Pink Eye yesterday when she woke up from her nap. Her eye was all sticky with guck on her eyelashes and she continuously rubbed her eye throughout the day. We were going to take her to the doctor today and waste an entire day sitting at the hospital ER department. Instead, we got the drops and after two drops in her eye, I've noticed a significant improvement. She did not scream or show any signs of discomfort other than being held still. After a nap there are now minimal crusties on her eyelashes. Just those two drops helped a lot. I'm so glad we got this today instead of wasting the day waiting on a doctor to see her. I will definitely be keeping this product on hand for future eye issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money This product is horrible it feels like I have daggers in my eyes put this product in over an hour ago and it’s still burning

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is awful and a waste of money I’ve suffered from pink eye in the past and have always gotten prescription eye drops from a doctor. I was unable to make a doctors appointment as I was traveling so the pharmacist recommended this product. It’s been nothing but horrible and I’ve been using 2 drops, 4 times a day as directed and my eye has become more red and irritated, extremely itchy and still have discharge from my eyes 4 days after starting treatment. Extremely disappointed and would like my $17.99 back as this has been a horrible experience in addition to already dealing with the pink eye symptoms. Not impressed with this product and will highly advise that it ishould never be used or recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from THIS is healing? Sure the puss has subsided somewhat, but my eyes feel horrible; they're more sensitive, they are getting more red, they burn! This is the slowest healing I've had with an eye infection. I'm scared to give it another day. My question is- if they are receiving so many BAD REVIEWS (burning nearly everyone's eyeballs out) why not recall the product and find out what you did wrong? Maybe then more people won't suffer and they can actually put out a good product? Unless they really want to lose customers? I dont get it, they knew this a month ago and it's still available for people to get their hands on it? Furious... Maybe they're waiting for someone to raise a huge fuss over this so they do their jobs?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The pain! After one day of successful use (2 drops per eye, 4 times a day), the product became extremely painful. As others have said, the drops cause great discomfort, red eye, burning, and irritation. This is a new development as the old formula did not cause such horrible pain. Currently laying in bed unable to sleep from the stinging. My advice, avoid this product for another form of polymyxin b.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is expensive and has no benefit I would never recommend this product. Instantly burned my eyes and made them more red. Continued to use for 2 days and it made my eyes a lot worse. I got a prescription for eye drops to treat pink eye and it did not burn my eyes. Therefore, I would never recommended this product if you think you have pink eye. I’m not sure why pharmacists would ever recommend using this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Makes Things Much Worse Went to a pharmacist to get something for pink eye. I was given these drops. Been 24 hours and 4 times used with my eye being much more itchy, more red, more painful than before. It doesn't sooth or make it better. Seeing so many negative reviews...I am surprised this product is still being sold. Hopefully no damage to my eye. Will check with an optometrist.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Have a stye and the phamasist recommended this product since I had no refills on my normal perscription. Product burned my eye and irritated it so much that the pain and discomfort is worse now than before I used the product! I now look like I have pink eye due to irritation rather than the original small red stye I started with! I will NOT continue using this after only 2 drops being used!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 1 seems like a high rating I have used this product with success in the past and was glad to see it back on the shelf when i went in to pharmacy this week with an eye infection. The $20 price tag seemed high for a one time use, but cheaper and less time consuming than a prescription and trip to the clinic so i bought it. Instead of relief, it immediately started burning and my symptoms got much worse - red, itching, burning, goobey mess. Never again! In fact, it makes me question the entire brand that i have trusted my whole life.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product turned my eyes dark red I thought I may have the start of pink eye or dry eye. After 2 hours of one drop in each eye, my blood vessels darkened red and my eyes look absolutely horrible. At first the drops seemed soothing then started burning. My whites are seriously red. Not worth the price or the result, and after reading all of the negative online reviews and the responses from the manufacturer I’m not sure why the product has not improved - may be time for a new product launch from a competitor?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible I started using these eye drops on a Thursday morning when I woke up with a crusty eye. By Sunday my eye was worse and had spread to my other eye. I would wake up with swollen eye lids in the mornings after using this product before bed. Ended up at the doctor who gave me a prescription and with only two doses of one drop each eye so far my eyes feel 100x better. Wont ne using this product again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why did you add alochol? Polysporin eye drops: was a good product. I missed it when it was off the market. Now it is back containing alcohol. Horribly irritating and stinging. This product actually makes the condition worse!!! i can't believe this is recommended for children. Bring back the old formulation!!!! BTW: I used this on my dogs so some of the questions N/A (although when my dog freaked I did put some in my eye and found extreme burning!)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I should’ve read the reviews 1st 2 days ago, I started to notice a little pink in the corner of my eye, then it moved to the other eye. I bought this product out of convenience on the shelf, and as soon as I used it, my eyes began to sting a little. I figured this was an indication the product was “working”. Next day, I used it 2 more times and I just had to stop, not only did it start stinging and irritating my eyes, it was significantly more red, not even a slight pink anymore. It was getting worse by the minute so I had to rinse my eyes out and got instant relief! A waste of money for sure. I should’ve read the numerous reviews saying the EXACT same thing! I don’t even want my $$ back, just take it off the shelves until you improve your product and save people from burning, red eyes!
